Dan Eby has been a resident of Vancouver for the past 7 years having
originally come from Ottawa. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in
2008 having completed his degree in marketing. In 2007, as part of the Commerce
degree program, Dan studied at the University of Economics in Prague, Czech
Republic where he had the opportunity to work with international peers.
During the past 7 years Dan has also worked in a variety of sales roles in
the banking industry. Gaining experience in addressing customer's credit,
investment and insurance needs by offering sound tailored solutions with
company products and services. His greatest achievement working with the
bank was establishing long term relationships with customers.
As part of the marketing degree program, Dan completed one co-op term in
the Office of Greening Government Operatins with the federal government (Public
Works and Government Services Canada). His primary role was to promote and
increase membership of an internal federal government sustainability
program designed to improve the work and personal habits of employees to have less
impact on the environment.
In addition to being an environmentalist Dan is an avid outdoor's person
actively involved in rock climbing, snowshoeing and snowboarding. In
return for taking in what BC has to offer he has also given back. While living in
Whistler, BC in 2008 he was a volunteer: at the Pemberton Winterfest, at
the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program 'Comedy Night' and a (Whistler) Lost Lake
Cross Country Ski Patrol.
